default
Posted on Mon, 12 Oct 2015
Question: Took my bp medicine, by stolid 5 mg. Bo went from 16965 over 91 down to 102 over 72. I also take percocets for chronic cervical pain. Is the 102 over 72 too low? I'm just a little dizzy right now is all. How long before bp goes back up a little?

Hello,

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

Thanks for writing.

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

Dizziness and lethargy might have been due to the high blood pressure which you were having previously plus it fell down to 90 quickly so it does cause problems.

I would advise you to lie down and rest You blood pressure is not too low though but due to abrupt changes you are getting problems... it is expected to get better in am hour or so.

Here I would suggest you to check your BP thrice with a digital apparatus before taking any BP med because digital apparatuses are less reliable than manual ones it's better to check to BP thrice to see where is the BP standing actually so that a better decision about taking the blood pressure med can be taken.

If your BP tends to fall this quickly after the med you can cut it into half because acute fall is Blood pressure is not safe.

For now I will suggest you to take reast and relax everything should be fine in an hour or so.

I hope this answered your question, a
if you have more please feel free to ask.
