Question: Yes, My gastro dr wants to do a balloon test on my rectum area. There will be straining. Should I have this done since I had a rectocyle, and cystocle and a total hystectomy 0n 2010. I am 80 years old. I have been diagnosed with a damaged rectal nerve/muscle possible from giving childbirth. Thank You

Read and understood the history related to possible rectal nerve cut and childbirth 55 years ago and Surgery of total hysterectomy with repair of rectocele and cystocele.
You have no sensation in the rectal area but a little in anal area.
That your Gastroenterologist wants to do balloon test in the rectum area.
