Question: My husband has proteus mirabilis uti. Dr wants to give him levofloxacin. History of Parkinson's in his family. Don't think it good to give him this drug

Levofloxacin can be given for Proteus mirabilis. It may not be reasonable to withhold best antibiotic even if there is a family history of Parkinson's in my opinion.
