Brief Answer:
You need evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for choosing HCM.

After going through your question, I can understand your concern.

At present you are on two medicines in modest dose for your blood sugar control.
Glimeperide (Content of Glimer) 2mg per day and Metformin (Content of Glyciphage) 1500mg per day.

I would like to advise check your fasting and postprandial blood sugar level. Depending upon it appropriate changes can be made in your medicine.

Also your duration of diabetes, heart and kidney status (can be judged by Serum creatinine and 2DEcho of heart) is important in deciding appropriate anti-diabetic medicine for you.

Increasing dose Glimer may land you in hypoglycemia.

Hope this help you.

My FBS is 140 and PPBS is 200; S. creatinine is 1.1 mg/dl. I got my heart checked up last month through ECG and TMT and the heart specialist said that it is normal. I do regular exercises and dieting. What do I need to do to bring down the blood sugar to normal level. Or is this level ok.
