Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

I passed carefully through your question and would explain that there are two types of ventricular tachycardia:

1-Ventricular tachycardia without association of hemodinamic impairment (presence of symptoms like shortness of breath, low blood pressure, fainting or chest pain) can be well tolerated. This type of ventricular tachyacardia is not an emergency and can wait some days until consulting with your cardiologist and take medical treatment.

2-In case the above mentioned symptoms of hemodinamic impairment (really low blood pressure, fainting, chest pain, shortness of breath), it would indicate a more severe type of Ventricular tachycardia. This is an emergency, because it leads at a high risk for a cardiac arrest. In such case it is necessary go to the nearest ER as soon as possible for external electrical cardioversion.

I would like to know more about your symptoms, medical history and performed cardiac tests (if you can upload them), in order to be able to give a more professional opinion.

I remain at your disposal in case you have any other questions!

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
