Brief Answer:
Depends on the size and symptoms hernia is causing

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

All umbilical hernias do not need surgery.
So there needs to be a overall assessment if helps with a surgery. Your occupation, how large is the hernia, if it is progressing and what symptoms do you have with out jock strap.
Prostrate enlargement can cause distended bladder and cause high pressure in the abdomen which can progress the hernia further. So it is also important to consider the picture of prostrate and its size for a removal.

Are there any natural remedies to reduce the prostrate. I am on medication but could take up to 3months..also would another scope of my bladder cause any more pain?

Brief Answer:
Prostrate enlargement

Detailed Answer:
Hi I fear that there are no natural remedies. Your current medicine can be tweaked to act faster to reduce size of prostrate.
Endoscopy into the bladder may be painful but using right size of scope should not be difficult.
