Is Heart Beat Sensation In Abdomen During Pregnancy?

Question: I am 16 weeks pregnant and had my ultrasound earlier. I felt some heat on my skin where the transducer was..is this bad for my baby?

Feeling of heart beat through abdomen is normal.
Moreover, you most probably might have felt the movements of the fetus, rather than the heart beat. This is because the ultrasound wave through the transducer stimulates the fetus and causes fetal movements.

Not heart beat but some heat like warm sensation from when the transducer was.

Effect of the ultrasound waves from the transducer

Hi dear,
Heat production is a normal effect of the ultrasound waves, which are concentrated and coming though the transducer. It has no adverse effect on you or on the fetus.
Do not worry as ultrasound waves used in the machines for scanning are completely safe.
