Is Gallbladder Removal Surgery Advisable When Diagnosed With Emphysema?
Question: I have severe emphysema and I am a risk for sergury. I have some gallstones and one of them is 13mm. What should I do to get rid of it if I can't have surgery?

Gallbladder has to be removed surgically for gallstones.
In Emphysematous patients, general anaesthesia is risky. I prefer to remove Gallbladder under Spinal/Epidural anaesthesia.
You can consult a good center where XXXXXXX Anaesthetist is available, get examined and proceed accordingly.
You can ask for Open method instead of Laparoscopic approach.
Till then,you can take Ursodeoxycholic acid tablet twice daily after doctor's consultation.
