Hyperthyroidism needs to be looked for and ruled out based on the symptoms of profuse sweating which you described. If there is associated weight loss, a rapid heart rate and associated nervousness or irritability then its even more likely. Thyroid function tests should be advised in this regard.

Another common cause is hypoglycemia especially in diabetic patients taking drugs like sulfonylureas or using insulin. It can occur in non diabetics , too. Blood sugar, HBA1c with basic metabolic panel should be done, too.

Fever, generalized anxiety disorder and viral illness can also lead to similar symptoms and should be assessed on the physical exam.

Sinusitis is a focus of infection and can be associated with triggering such symptoms especially with fever. Fever should be checked. Antibiotics like gemifloxacin along with decongestants can be advised if acute sinusitis is suspected as the cause, in consult with your doctor.
