No food interactions. It is to be taken with food.
Its usual side effects are high BP, muscle pain, thrombophloebitis, weakness, nausea, headache, blurred vision, bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, dizziness.

400mg is a high dose. Maybe start with 100 or 200 mg per day. Recommended dose is 50mg per day for routine intake.
