On reading the query it is apparent that you are taking effexor from past 10yrs ( reason not mentioned); and that you have a past history of subarachnoid heamorrhage. There is a complaint of smelling like- smoke or bleach and feeling dizzy without apparent reasons. Yes, it is a matter of concern. The symptoms look like related to CNS system and may be related with high blood pressure ( if you have one already; or a new one - so get it checked). The smells can be due to seizure ( type of seizure disorder in which there are on and off episodes of smelling things which aren't there. You should ideally get routine blood test, BP readings and EEG before starting treatment. For now you may see a doctor but he might refer you to a neurologist.
