Brief Answer:
Coronary artery disease is not a fatal disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that coronary artery disease is not a fatal disorder.

You should know that this disorder is caused by a low blood supply to the heart tissues, related to a narrowing of the coronary arteries (usually from atherosclerosis, genetic factors, etc).

The conduction disorder, showed in your ECG seems to be related to coronary artery disease.

It is usually called angina (chest pain) and related to physical effort at the beginning of the symptoms. That is why it is often diagnosed during the stress tests, where changes in the ECG are noticed.

Anyway a coronary angiography is necessary to establish the diagnosis.

There are different options to treat and hold under control this disorder (drugs or interventions).

The most commonly used drugs to treat this disorder are:
-Nitrates (nytroglycerine, mono5)
-Beta blockers
- Statins (to decrease cholesterol levels and stabilize the atherosclerotic plaques)
- Calcium channel blockers
- Ranolazine

Other agents used in the treatment of coronary artery stenosis or to aid in the management of stable coronary artery disease after intervention include the following:
-Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors to reduce blood pressure
-Antiplatelet agents for acute coronary events and prevention therapy(Aspirine, Clopidogrel, Ticlopidine)
- statins to lower LDL cholesterol levels

While treatment procedures for coronary artery atherosclerosis include the following:
-Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
-Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)

It is also important to modify your lifestyle:
- perfom a lot of physical activity (4km of walking daily is recommended)
- a healthy diet (reduce salt and fat intake with food, caffeine and increase food reach in omega 3 and vitamins)
-treat underlying conditions and risk factors(like diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, adrenal gland dysfunction, etc.)
-reduce your weight, especially if you are overweight
-stabilize your blood pressure

If treated properly and at the right time (without being complicated with acute myocardial infarct), you can have a normal life and life expectancy.

Another important problem, which needs attention is your thyroid cancer. A biopsy and some tests to classify the malignancy, the degree of spreading and possible option of therapy after the interventions (possible chemotherapy) should be discussed with your doctor.

Hope to have been helpful!

Feel free to ask any other questions, whenever you need!

Best wishes,

Dr. Iliri
