Brief Answer:
It is not an emergency and you can wait

Detailed Answer:
Hello

The only
indication for urgent removal of tonsils would be presence of pus in the tonsils not responding to antibiotics.

Flu and cough are unlikely to be due to adenoids or tonsils and are generally due to a viral infection, in my opinion you should meet a chest physician.

Removal of tonsils can be done at a latter date, once she recovers from the present illness and when there is school leave., from the xray you have sent , she will need removal of her adenoids as they seem to be pretty much enlarged.

Please do not use antibiotics continuously as most of the time the infection is viral, please meet a chest physician/ pediatrician agin and get her examined.

You can ask her to gargle with warm salt water 3-4 times a day and take steam inhalation for the time being.

Take care
