default
Posted on Mon, 27 Jun 2016
Question: I have a red line on my penis head. Have used lomotrin and line goes away for 2 days but returns if i do use the cream. Is this just a yeast infection?
Tks

I have no pain, no discharge no disconfort.
I also have a bad toenail fungus.
Red lines goes away when i use the cream, but if i dont use the cream they come back the next day.

Brief Answer:
candidial balanitis

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com. I have read your query. I understand your concern. I have seen the attached photograph also.
It seems that you are having a condition called Candidial balanitis. It is fungal infection of skin involving the glans characterised by red colored itchy rash over glans. In such cases, I prefer to advise topical antifungals like clotrimazole cream /sertraconazole cream. You may neee to take oral antifungals also like tablet Fluconazole. It is a prescription drug with dose depending on the body weight. I would advise you to visit your doctor so that he can give you prescription. You can share my opinion with him. Keep the area clean and dry.
I hope it helps. Take care.
