Sir but I Dont know which generation test it was and and most of the Google saysits take long time to show positive result if the person is infected
Brief Answer:
It is confirmed that antibodies will develop within a year after infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
Tests for HIV antibodies have been regularly standardised and in the last 5 years the tests done are usually 3 or 4 generation tests.
The 3 or 4 generation tests are excellent and medical literature confirms that 12 months is the maximum time required for a person to develop antibodies after HIV infection.
Going with what is written in latest medical literature there is no need of any test if the 5 year test for HIV antibodies is negative.
Hope your query is answered.
