Is A Bump Near The Anus A Symptom Of Anal Wart?

default
Posted on Fri, 10 Jun 2016
Question: Help !! I need to know what this is ! I've asked previous online doctors but never a gynecologist. I do have an appt on Tuesday with mine but I need some peace of mind. I have had this flap of skin/ bump near my anus for 6/7 months now. Probably since July. In May I had a clear XXXXXXX of health from my gyno including a clear pap. Anyways I have been looking up pictures online and convinced myself this is an anal wart...what do you think ? I talked to my sister about it and she said it could be a pile because I have had blood in my stool and some pain while pooping, also lately I have had a hard time pooping. Does this look like an anal wart to you ? PLEASE LOOK AT PICTURES FIRST

Brief Answer:
fissure or piles

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I think you forgot to attach pictures here. I do not see any here.
I answer this with what you described it.
YOu should meet a surgeon or primary care doctor. You do not need a Gynecologist.
Your sister was right. You most likely have a pile or anal fissure which is very common at this age.
Fissure is my most likely possibility followed by piles. Both of them present with blood in stool, pain during stools.
Wart is last in the list if yoiu are active sexual life
Your doctor can give you a local anesthetic with hydrocortisone for easy healing.
You should have more amount of water and fibre than what you have now.
Do not worry this is common and easily treatable medical conditions.

Thank you for the opportunity and look forward to answer any more queries.

Photos should be up now...since I am using this as one of my follow up questions and I only receive one more please be detailed. Could this in any way possible be a wart? If not what does it look like...other online doctors say a sentinel tag, some say anal fissure..there just hasn't been too much pain so I'm not sure if that's the case.

Brief Answer:
Inflammed anal tag

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for the pictures. It is not a fissure. It looks more like sentinel pile/tag.
You had not answered my question about being sexually active? If active wart can be possibility.
It looks to be anal tag, but red and inflammed.
You should be alright if you can apply Hemorrhoid X ointment there twice a day. You can also try sitz baths with savlon lotion in it at home twice to thrice a day.
Do not worry and this will be over in a day or two.
You will have one more follow up left after my answer. Do not worry.
Hope this address all the doubts.

Yes I am sexually active. So you think this is a wart? Or more of a tag? I have never had anal sex though.

Brief Answer:
Inflammed anal hemorrhoid/tag

Detailed Answer:
The surface is smooth, red, lumpy with moderate pain so it goes well with inflammed hemorrhoid (tag if it exists prior this episode).
Anal wart is not smooth and dark. When there is no wart elsewhere it is less likely.
My treatment solution above holds good. Continue on the same.
