Question: I am a white male, my GFR on average is 48, the renal health clinic I visit says that number is not bad, however from all the charts I see it should be over 59. How bad is 48?

Brief Answer:
No specific intervention needed.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Your GFR is slightly compromised but it is not quite concerning and needs no definite intervention as of now. If you have diabetes or high blood sugar, it is very important to keep these conditions in control.
