Is Vyvanse Effective In Treatment Of Narcolepsy?

Question: I was diagnosed with narcolepsy without cataplexy and I was placed on armodafinil but it is not working and I want to try vyvanse ,is that possible ?

First line of treatment for narcolepsy includes Modafinil and Armodafinil, because these drugs aren't addictive as other stimulants.

When these drugs fail to control sleepiness, other stimulants including those containing amphetamine or its derivatives could be used, including Vyvanse.

So, it is possible to try Vyvanse, but it can result in addiction.

Discuss with your treating Doctor about these issues.
