Brief Answer:
Continue with minoxidil, start with tablet finasteride & hair supplements

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have reviewed your photograph and you are having male pattern baldness.
It is a progressive type of hair loss occuring in genetically predisposed individuals.
To prevent hair from falling and for their regrowth you need to continue with minoxidil lotion.
Besides this for better results I recommend my patients to take tablet finasteride 1 mg once daily and hair supplements like tablet follihair or tablet hairbless once daily.
To prevent hair loss you need to continue them life long atleast the minoxidil lotion.
Once you will stop them hair will fall within 6 -8 months to the pretreatment levels.
For permanent or long term results you need to go for hair transplantation.
There is no oral or topical medicine which can solve this problem permanently.

Dr Asmeet

Welcome!! All the best!!

Detailed Answer:
Use minoxidil 5 percent lotion. The dose is 1 ml twice daily.
You can use x gain shampoo or triclenz shampoo. Both are equally good.
I didn't understand your second question. What are you trying to ask?

Mam my question was shall I start with 10% and then slowly reduce to 5% . next question is Should I go for Prp treatment , will it help to boost my hair or not.
The supplements that you have prescribed like finasteride and follihair does it have any side effects, or it may cause any sexual problems in case of regular use.

Brief Answer:
Start with 5 percent minoxidil, prp does boost hair growth

Detailed Answer:
You can start with minoxidil 5 percent lotion only.
Prp treatment is definitely beneficial in causing hair growth but not to a very significant extent.
Follihair doesn't have any side effects.
Finasteride can cause sexual dysfunction like loss of libido or erectile dysfunction in 1-3 percent of individuals but it is reversible on continued treatment and after stopping the medicine.

Brief Answer:
Go for head wash daily or alternate day, can use xgain hair serum

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I can understand your concern.
Few persons develop dryness of hair on using minoxidil.
To prevent it you can wash your head either daily or every alternate day with x gain shampoo.
Still if it persists you can use X gain hair serum on the hair after a gap of 30-60 minutes of using minoxidil.

Answered by Dr. Asmeet Kaur Sawhney (3 hours later)
Brief Answer:
X gain will be better, both minoxidil brands equally good

Detailed Answer:
Both tugain and hair 4u are from good companies.
You can buy any of the above. Both are equally effective.
As far as shampoo is concerned x gain will be better as ketoconazole containing shampoo will further dry the hair.
