Brief Answer:
It's probably OK

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

macrobid (nitrofurantoin) is usually a good choice for cystitis. Clonazepam is irrelevant and does not interact with nitrofurantoin. The only real contraindication for macrobid which may interest old individuals is impaired renal function with GFR lower than 60ml/min.

Macrobid may also cause pulmonary problems particularly with prolonged use but there is no contraindication for patients with COPD.

So unless hour mother has GFR lower than 60 or a UTI with fever (not cystitis that is) macrobid is a good choice. Clonazepam is an anxiolytic, that is a drug to remove psychological stress and induce sleep.
