Is Lamectal Intake Safe To Wean Off Keppra?

Question: I have been prescribed Lamectal to titrate off of Keppra, however am concerned about the rash warnings.
I have had a lot of body pain and weakness while on Keppra also weight gain.

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.

I understand that there is a rash warning for lamictal. However its not so common to be feared about. If it had been this common then the drug would have banned. If you take good precautions and start at a low dosage of 25 mg and then only gradually increase to 200mg then there is no need to worry about the rash.
Being cautios is good but there is no need to be afraid of. I have started lamotrigine to more than a 100patients until now ad only 1 patient had this problem that too a minor rash which settled down after stoping the drug.
