Question: Hello Doctor,

I am 28year old unmarried man.A week back I had a protected oral sex with a prostitute. It lasted for around one minute. Her mouth did not come in contact with my skin directly since she was giving oral sex only on the top part of the penis which covered by condom (she was covering only quater part of the condom covered area)and later i checked for condom damage I did not find any damage on it. I am seriously regreting this act and i wanted to know Am I safe with Sti's especially Hiv. I am really worried. Should i undergo any test? I read in the internet that oral sex is less riskier but still I am very worried. Please help me doctor

Brief Answer:
You are safe from STDs/HIV

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar(dermatologist and venereologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

There is absolutely no risk of HIV or any other STI because there was no direct skin to skin contact during oral sexual encounter. You need not worry and there is no need for testing.

Regards
