Question: Hi Doctor, Thanks a ton for your prompt reply over my question it helped me get through my anxiety and fears. For your recall I had posted that I had protected oral sex at a massage parlour 29 days back. You had told me I need not panic and advised me to get tested . I went for a DNA PCR test at 16 days and P24 Antigen test at 21 Days and ECLIA test at 28 days mark all came back NEGATIIVE. Can I take this conclusive and move on. Would you recommend further testing at 3 months and 6 minths

Brief Answer:
I would not recommend

Detailed Answer:
Hello Friend,
I am happy that you are fear free now. Since your exposure was not high risk, so further testing is not warranted when these tests as described by you are negative.
We order testing at 3 month and 6 month in case a person has a high risk exposure and is showing persistent symptoms of HIV and AIDS not being explainable by any other disease and investigations.
I would say, that you should move ahead with forgetting the past event with a promise to yourself that in any condition, you would not repeat the same :)
I hope you find the information helpful.
If you have any further query, please ask me.

Hi Doctor ,

Right now i am having a mild ear ache and neck pain no sore throat though i am taking voltaren for the same. All the anxiety and to be XXXXXXX all the fear and crying through the night has has had adebilitating effect on my body. Like when i took the ECLIA test and was waiting for the results yesterday my heart beat started racing and i started having muscle pains and pain in the groin. My triceps are still aching. Is there any medication or therapies for coping with my anxiety. I hope i am not troubling you with too many questions .

Brief Answer:
Just take rest.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend. You can ask me any queries in your mind.
Your current symptoms seems to be Viral related only. Take an anti Allergic like Levocetrizine and Paracetamol. Take the medicines and go to sleep.
This would help you with pain.
For anxiety start doing meditation and take rest.
Stop thinking about the event you had. You don't have HIV.
I hope it helps you.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
