I understand your concern. Colace is docusate, a substance that softens the stool, supposedly making it easier to pass. However, for easy passing of the stool, there are two necessary elements: The bowl movement and the soft stool.
Adding Casanthranol (a substance that irritates the bowel thus increasing its movement) to Docusate, you get Peri colace, which is more effective than colace.
