Brief Answer:

Post surgery infection

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

You should not stop or change antibiotic abruptly. Get a throat swab for culture sensitivity done.

Histopathological evaluation of the tonsil tissue is to confirm the infective pathology only.

The surgeries you have undergone are meant for obstructive sleep apnea treatment. There is edema of the tissues post surgery and it may take up to 4 to 6 weeks for complete relief.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
