Brief Answer:
Reconsider something without steroid

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,

Since your wife is suffering from allergy its very important that she takes medication for the same, as any maternal problem definitely does affect the baby.

Celestamine contains chlorpheniramine which is an antihistaminic and is safe to use in all trimesters of pregnancy. The other component of celestamine is betamethasole, but this drug is in category C for pregnancy that is it may cause harm, though not proven yet.

Steroid may cause a condition called cleft palate and cleft lip in children and needs to be avoided especially in first 12 weeks when all the organs are forming.

Consider taking only a antihistamine for the allergy, Chlorphenramine , Fexofenadine or Loratadine are all safe.

Steroid creams for local application may be considered if the anti-histaminics don't work.

Hope this helps.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
they are generic names

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,

I would suggest you to get Loratadine 10 mg tablets to be taken twice day for 3 days or till allergy lasts.

But if she develops rashes or fever or the allergy doesn't go away in 3 days , best to consult a dermatologist then.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
