Question: In a recent blood test, I found that my monocyte percent is 16. All the rest of the CBC was within normal range. i am taking a medicine that affects my immune system to treat my alopecia universalis and vitiligo. I am on a dose of 30 mg per day which is 3 times higher than the dose approved. Should I be scared?

Regardless of the name of medicine, any drug must be given in FDA approved dosages. It will cause higher side effects at higher doses. Kindly consult with your doctor about lowering the dose.
