Question: I’m having a reoccurrence of a dudedenol ulcer- I had stop taking my omeperzole and I was talking Motrin for knee pain. Now I hav e blood in my stool. I started talking my omeprozole again 40mg and also sulcrafate 4 x a day how long does it take for the bleeding to stop. Because of the medical climate I do not want to go to the hospital. I am also taking homeopathic arsenium XXXXXXX and Phosporhus Fermium

Blood in stool does not indicate bleeding duodenal ulcer.
If the duodenal ulcer is bleeding you will have dark, tar like sticky, foul smelling paste like stool.
Bleeding duodenal ulcer is an emergency and it needs immediate medical attention.
You may require endoscopic treatment and intravenous infusion of medications to control bleeding and facilitate ulcer healing.
Avoid motrin as it is one of the common causes of duodenal ulcer. With history of duodenal ulcer, taking motrin further may worsen your issue.
I would advise you to get medical attention.
