Question: I'm from XXXXXXX [India], 32yrs old male. I'm suffering from loose motion for the past 4-5 weeks.
For the past 4-5 weeks I usually wake up in the morning with a stomach pain/discomfort and the pain subsides only after I empty my stomach.
No discomfort once I empty my stomach. I've tried my ayurvedic doctor's tretment for the past 1 week but to no use. I'am leading sedentary life style.

Please suggest a medicine.

Brief Answer:
DIARRHEA? STOMACH INFECTION

Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Welcome to "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX

I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

My first diagnosis would be Stomach infection.

Most people recover from it during this much time and within a few days.

Your first priority should be to keep yourself well hydrated and prevent dehydration and loss of electrolytes.
Have ORS Solution.

Have bland and soft diet.
Generally BRAT diet is advised: bananas, rice (white), applesauce and toast.
Try bland foods, such as crackers, toast, and bananas.
Avoid spicy,heavy,oily,greasy food.
Take multiple small meals instead of 3 large major meals.
Avoid non veg.
Avoid milk.
Avoid caffeine,carbonated beverages and alcohol.
You can take anti-diarrhea medication such as Imodium, which are over the counter drugs.
Use probiotics.

Exactly how long the motions last will depend on the amount of infection you have in the body.
Be physically active.

If you have vomitings (Dehydration can be dangerous),you develop fever, you have blood in stool or the or the symptoms persist, you should immediately report to your doctor.

Hope that I have answered your query.

Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards.

I've no vomitings/fever.

The below doubt relates to my condition for the past 2-3 years:-
Can bowel disorders/irritations disrupt sex life/libido? Because whenever I've stomach discomfort I feel inflammation (mild heat) which I feel in between scrotal sac and anal tract; and during such days I experience very low sexual interest (feels like some ingredient/driving factor is lost which is needed for a pleasurable sexual experience). (for eg:-like food without salt/tea without sugar).

Brief Answer:
DIARRHEA? STOMACH INFECTION

Detailed Answer:

Welcome back.....

Definitely.....Bowel irritation and inflammation may affect sexual desire and function adversely.

Young patients are specially vulnerable to the impact of organic diseases on their sexuality.

Abdominal infection results in increased bowel frequency and abdominal pain which can potentially lead to embarrassment, decreased confidence and decreased desire.

Due to loss of water and electrolytes, there can be fatigue, lassitude, exhaustion and mood changes thus causing a possible temporary loss of interest.

Persistent fatigue can affect sexual drive, performance and pleasure.

There is associated anxiety due to physical discomfort and lack of well being, which can decrease sexual desire and function.
