Suggest Treatment For Burning Sensation While Urinating

default
Posted on Wed, 17 Feb 2016
Question: IFor the last week I have had a slight burning when I urinate, or a feeling of needing to urinate after I just have, or can't urinate. Today I woke up and went to urinate, and it felt like there was something covering my urethra so I couldn't realieve myself very fast. I finally felt around the area and felt a really hard, scab like feeling something over the end of my urethra. I put vaseline on it, and later was able to urinate and it
released. It looked kind of like a honeycomb, and was hard and crystal like. Is this a symptom of UTI?

Brief Answer:
UTI, urine routine, drink plenty of water

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
Most of the symptoms mentioned by you is indicating towards UTI.

I would have asked for urine routine examination and based on the report I would have decided on the need of antibiotic. I usually in my clinic, treat patients of UTI with Norflox 400 mg twice daily for 3 days.

Presently I would suggest you to drink plenty of water, which will to wash off the microbes from urinary tract and also to drink cranberry juice which is found to be beneficial in UTI. Keep the valval area clean wash it with cool water and mild soap like dermadew, and then tap it dry with towel.

Here you have also mentioned about scab like feeling, I would like to know is there swelling near urethral opening, if so kindly upload the pictures for better assessment.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
