Brief Answer:
Have more rest, you may have the swelling for weeks.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

Tendinitis needs more weeks to go away.
You may need to use acetaminophen for ibuprofen for swelling and pain and it will reduce recovering time.
Also you may need to stop doing activities which can trigger it like repetitive movement or high intensity projects.
Put the limb at rest.

Hope I have answered the question.
