Question: I used to be on 50mg mirtazapine; and stopped because of the weight gain. I am now on 50mg sertaline and want to know if it will result in hair loss. I'm a 46 year old man and weight gain and hair loss are two side effects I'm not interested in

Thanks; so in summary it's very unlikely. 1- 100 cases / 1 - 1000 cases. Added to the fact I am taking Propecia which will no doubt help. Can you also let me know when the best time to take sertaline in terms of sleep. I generally struggle to sleep, have bouts of insomnia, based on the likelihood of the side affects - sleepy / insomnia, when would you suggest, based on likelihood of those two side effects, is the best time to take it. Morning or evening? Final question, is it linked to weight gain like Mirtazapine? I suspect not as the doctors moved me onto it as a result of the weight gain from the previous drug.
