Brief Answer:
Please do a chest X ray

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor

I can understand your concern

But can you be more specific to explain what exactly happened. Why do you suspect you have food in your lungs.Probably you were eating and some particle of food has entered in airways? If yes you should have feel difficulty in breathing and coughing. Of not it's hard for food to go in airways without cough or breathlessness. However you can contact your doctor to order a chest X ray for you. If it comes Negative and the suspicion is high than a bronchoscopy examination is needed.

Hope to have been helpful
