I Recently Had Some CT Scans Done For Neck, Chest

Question: I recently had some CT scans done for neck, chest and abd because I have Small Lymphocytic Leukemia. The results were good for SLL disease but there is one thing mentioned that might explain that why since April I have had post nasal drainage that has gotten a bit better but definitely something I have not experienced in the past to this degree from allergies, etc. I had 3 URI this winter and after those is when this seemed to get worse. I thought it was just allergies but after this scan I am thinking maybe not. My CT scan stated - partially opacified of sphenoid sinus without fluid level. I am trying to get an ENT visit set up but it will be over a month before I can get into one. What can you tell me about this impression? Is there anything I can do at home to help it?

Brief Answer:
Hii. Welcome to the healthcare services. Can you send the picture of the CT

Detailed Answer:
Hii. Welcome to the healthcare services. Can you send the picture of the CT scan? Are you having allergic symptoms like watering from nose, nasal obstruction, headache? You can start fluticasone nasal spray which will reduce the allergic inflammation. You should also start a saline nasal spray solspre which clear the allergic mucus and will help in clearing the opening of the sinus. Start an antiallergic tablet Levocetrizine for at least 2 week. Take antimucolytic bromhexine thrice daily for at least 5 days. All these medication will help in clearing the mucus. Take steam inhalation thrice daily. Review after 2 week. Please review if you have any queries.

I don't have a copy of the CT scan. I am taking Xyzal and use flonase daily. I use Sudafed when congestion is bad. I have post nasal drainage but no headaches. Every noe and then I sneeze hard and my nose runs a little bit. The post nasal drainage is the main symptom. Thank you for your suggestions. I am going to see my oncologist on Tuesday and he will discuss the scans with me. I am sure he will help me get referred to an ENT to address this finding. I will start doing what I can that you have mentioned. I think some of the meds you mentioned will require a doctor's order.
