Posted on Sun, 29 Sep 2019
Question: I noticed a lump in my lower abdomen, slightly above my c-section scar, on the middle right. It isn’t tender. I just feel pressure. I’m a 29 yr old female, 3 cesareans, Mirena IUD and had a cyst on my right ovary.

Brief Answer:
ultrasond required

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.

Considering your description, it is more like to be some issue related to abdominal wall rather than pelvic or abdominal cavity, but to rule this out, you should do ultrasound which will detect if this is some subcutaneous lesion such as lipoma, fibroma or lymph node or this is intraabdominal lesion such as ovarian cyst, uterus mioma or something third. If there is redness or pain then it may indicate abscess and this required surgical consultation.
In every case, it does not sound like serious issue but some work up shoul dbe done if it becomes larger or painful.
WIsh you good health. Regards

This is a picture of it. I only notice it when I am lying down.

Brief Answer:
probably hernia

Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This is suggestive of hernia or abdominal wall weakness due to atrophy or muscle diastasis.
Usually, we recommend exercises to strengthen abdominal muscles and if this wont help, then surgery may be considered.
Wish you good health. Regards
