Question: I have two questions. As a result of a tkr in XXXXXXX I now have a dropped foot as well as a foot that faces inward. The doctor has ordered an afo brace Will this return my foot to normal?
In addition to the dropped foot I am experiencing pain in my groin, the inside of knee and in my foot . My foot feels frozen. Is this a permanent situation or is there hope of recovery. I am going to PT but not much progress

Brief Answer:
A nerve damage likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The dropped foot and facing inward of the foot that you have is likely to be due to a nerve damage. Regular physiotherapy can help in recovery to some extent. Th pain in the groin and inside of the knee is related to the change in posture due to the dropped foot that is causing stress on your muscles. Rest and regular physiotherapy exercises can help.
I hope this answers your query.

When you say PT should help to some extent does that mean that the dropped foot is permanent. Can I drive with a dropped foot?
