I Have Taken Several Online Assessments And They All Point

default
Posted on Sun, 20 Sep 2020
Question: I have taken several online assessments and they all point to signs of me having ADHD, with also some OCD tendencies. I have been very forgetful at work as well as not able to concentrate or set for longer than 10 mins at a time. I am a healthcare professional and I can’t afford mistakes at my place of employment. Which would be the best sr in my area. XXXXXXX Oklahoma

Brief Answer:
Consultation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting the query.

I read your query and understand your concerns about the possible ADHD and its implications in your professional and personal life.

First of all I like to inform you that adult adhd is well known condition over the last few decades and there are multiple treatment options available for it. Vyvanse is one such option but I feel the non stimulant should be given the priority as they are less likely to cause side effects. I often prescribe non stimalants for persons with adhd and ocd traits as they not potentiate the problems of ocd.

In case there is doubt about the ocd and adhd it is preferable to treat first OCD rather than ADHD.
I hope this helps you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.
