I Have Been Tracking My Cycles As I Am Trying

Question: I have been tracking my cycles as I am trying to become pregnant.

My cycles for the past few months are as below.

I have been using Clearblue Connected Ovulation Test which shows Ovulation.

August 25th 2019 - September 19th 2019 (26 day cycle, monitor showed ovulation day 13)

September 20th 2019 - October 19th 2019 (30 day cycle, monitor showed ovulation day 14)

October 20th 2019 - November 18th 2019 (29 day cycle, monitor showed ovulation day 12)

My problem is 5 days after my period ended on the 27th November 2019 I started with spotting, this is now to very light pink requiring just the use of one pantyliner a day. I am so worried about this as to what is wrong with me and will it stop me conceiving? I have not had any high or peak fertility days yet this cycle, currently on day 13 of cycle. Tonight I have just got high fertility on the clearblue stick but I am still slightly bleeding. I am really stressing about this unusual pattern for me this cycle.

Brief Answer:
Get an abdominal ultrasound done

Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. Although this spotting would not prevent you from conceiving (getting pregnant), we need to make sure that there is no problem in remaining pregnant. Some amount of spotting in the initial days can be acceptable, it is rather unusual to have spotting on and around the day of ovulation. In such a case endometrial thickening or hyperplasia or other issues like fibroid of uterus need to be ruled out and I would insist on getting a lower abdominal ultrasound done. After getting the reports I would insist you to visit a gynecologist and they would be able to assess you clinically.

Feel free to write back.

This is more like a light period now a bit more than spotting it's like watery pink. This is 7 days after my period stopped I am so worried about cancer etc. Do you think this is something to worry about

Brief Answer:
Does not seem ominous

Detailed Answer:
You need not be worried sick. You just need to learn whether anything needs to be done about it. I am quite certain that it is not something ominous.
