I Have Been Diagnosed With Gall Stones After Sufferng From
Question: I have been diagnosed with gall stones after sufferng from pain in my tummy for about 4/5 weeks. When this started I also got diarrhoea and constipation with yellow stools, I still have constipation and diarhoea but yellow stools are away. Are these all connected.

Ok would you have any idea what would be causing the constipation. I have had blood tests completed for liver, heart and kindeys all clear. Test also done for celaic disease which was negative. I have a exam of the back area and nothing showed up. I am going for a colonscopy in a few weeks. I have been under very severe stress at home lately struggling to cope with eldery parents and having a disability myself has added to this pressure. I also have some flautence. Could it be IBS or even bowel cancer. My diet over the past while has been poor. Blood test showed I was low in folate acid and low in iron - however I suspect being low in iron is due to heavy periods as I am going through the priemenopause. My stool was test and it came back all clear.

Can IBS also result in runny stools. Can bowel habit change for 1 day to next for example 1 day I could only go to the toilet once and other days go 3 or 4 times.
