Question: I have been diagnosed with cervical stenosis and bone on bone C4 5 6 & 7
I had a neck throat spasm attack several weeks ago not knowing what was happening I went to a chiropractor for the first time in my life and I did get relief
Since then I have been going once a week although for the first few weeks I went 2 times a week
The chiropractor referred me to a neurosurgeon and he diagnosed what I explained up above
Now I am having pain in the front of my neck and somewhat on the sides
I looked on line and it says I could have all kinds of cancer which of course has sent me reeling
I am getting a new MRI next week and seeing my neurosurgeon the following week but I just want to settle in my mind that what I am feeling could be caused from my neck or Cervical problems

Brief Answer:
Not likely cancer

Detailed Answer:
Hi there

Thanks for the query

According to the clinical picture as you described it most definitely does not point to cancer rather it does explain the picture of very severe arthritis and stenosis of the spine.

An MRI will help delineate the areas of stenosis and also pick up any kind of abnormal signals and hence rule out cancer almost entirely.

Cancer means unintended weight loss, loss of appetite, emaciation etc.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
