Brief Answer:
Kindly put the thyroid biopsy on hold till this swelling is investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. The large swelling under your left jaw may be a lymph node or the left submandibular salivary gland. You have not mentioned the duration of this swelling and any details such as pain, tenderness, firmness of the swelling, dental issues or any other symptoms.

2. The earache is most likely to be a referred pain due to common nerve supply between these two areas.

3. I would hold the thyroid biopsy and first get an Ultrasound (USG) neck done to ascertain the cause of this large swelling.

4. You have not mentioned your age. Since your thyroid biopsy is planned tomorrow, your basic workup must have been done.

5. Upload images of the swelling and copies of investigation done in preparation of your thyroid biopsy.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
