Question: I have a burn on my knee and it is red around it and a little warm to the touch It happened about 9 days ago Do I need a prescription for infection ?

I suggest cleaning area and cover it with silver sulfadiazine.
I also suggest to cover the burn with a sterile gauze.
If you have pain or fever, you can use Ibuprofen to relieve it.
If the symptoms continue, you may need oral antibiotics to treat the infection.
