I Had An Ultrasound And I Am Looking For Clarification

default
Posted on Thu, 23 Jun 2022
Question: I had an ultrasound and I am looking for clarification of the impression:

1. Focal heterogeneity and thickening of the posterior myometrium, suggesting the presence of a 2.2 cm adenomyoma or leiomyoma.
2. An ovoid 0.5 x 0.2 cm endometrial cystic structure is of uncertain clinical significance. This could potentially represent an early gestational sac

I don't believe I can be pregnant since I had a negative pregnancy test March 8th and menstrual cycle March 10th.
Do these findings mean endometriosis?

Brief Answer:
Myoma and possibly early pregnancy.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

This are not normal findings of your
myometrium and endometrium.
I don't think this is related to endometriosis.
It is a myoma ( benign tumor of muscle or endometrial glands ) in the posterior wall of uterus . Also there is a cystic structure which can be an early gestational sack or early pregnancy .
You may need to do a beta HCG blood test to check for possible early pregnancy.

Hope I have answered the question.
