I Am A Member Of An Organization That Pairs Sperm

default
Posted on Sun, 9 Aug 2020
Question: I am a member of an organization that pairs sperm donors with ladies looking to conceive. Some of it is done artificially, but, lately in the past few months there has been more and more demand for natural insemination. The organization provides both parties with STD tests, and I believe it is safe but I would like a second opinion from you. For example, last week I had intercourse with 5 different women. I make a considerable amount of extra money doing this, and I enjoy it, but I am wondering if I should be 100% comfortable with the STD testing that the organization does (it's done beforehand)?

Brief Answer:
Appropriate STD testing can assure safety

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting us with your health concern

Appropriate tests to detect sexually transmitted infections can essentially rule out such infections. Please make sure that the laboratory is testing people past the window period of possible exposure.

The window period is the time required for the STD test to come back positive after exposure. If the window period has been surpassed and the test is negative, then there is no need to worry about contracting STD.

Hope this answers your question.

Yep. I am pretty certain that they test past the window period. I am actually taking some time away from working for that organization now, due to COVID-19. I will do artificial donation, but I think it is best I take some time away from natural insemination work. I wore masks with everybody last week (and the ladies wore masks too), but it still just seems too risky given the pandemic situation. We get tested too for COVID-19 regularly and so far I am COVID-19 negative.

Also, do you have any recommendations on how to avoid contracting COVID-19, given the unique situation of this work?

Brief Answer:
Avoid close contact with others

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

COVID 19 can easily get transmitted with approximate contact. So it is best to be avoided.
Testing can give false-negative results in persons infected with COVID especially if only a single test has been done. Given the pandemic situation, such close contact with strangers should be avoided.

Well, here is the thing. You are right that a lot of these women are "strangers". That's true. But, I currently have about 4 or 5 clients who need follow-up services, because not everybody gets pregnant immediately, a few had miscarriages, etc.

We could try artificial insemination with the home kit, but it would make the ladies uncomfortable since we have already done natural insemination before. I prefer missionary style sex, because I get to look at whatever cleavage they have (some are flat chested, some regular, some have gigantic breasts), which causes me to ejaculate more. I just got a few N95 respirators today (in the past, I only had surgical masks), and I was wondering if you, as a physician, think it would be okay if I do the follow-up sessions with a few of these women with me wearing the N95 respirator the whole time?

Thanks

Brief Answer:
N 95 alone will not provide protection with very approximate contact

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

I can understand your concern. However, given the pandemic situation, it is best to avoid follow up sessions as the N95 mask alone won't protection given the nature of approximate contact.

The only way to ensure avoiding COVID 19 would be if these individuals would have undergone self-quarantine for at least 14 days, and then tested negative for COVID 19. In such a scenario, you can be assured that the person is not infected by the virus and close contact can be considered safe.

Please discuss these concerns with your organization and see if their clients are being recommended to self-quarantine and then tested for COVID-19.

You are right. I will not do the follow-up sessions. These women will just have to be on their own. I have always done a quality job with these sessions by doing them with both of us completely naked, which allows me to really relax and provide the maximum amount of semen.

But, you are right that I can no longer provide that level of service safely, so I will just stop doing the natural insemination for a while.

As a physician, I would assume that you would say that women probably shouldn't even be trying to get pregnant in a pandemic like this, right?

Brief Answer:
Best to delay pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

As far as pregnancy is concerned, it is still unknown the effects this virus has on pregnancy and fetus. So it would be best to avoid pregnancy during the peak of pandemic, especially if you are living in an area where the number of cases are rising rapidly. It would be best to wait until the situation passes.

Ok. Well, I have a different sort of question. I have become accustomed to having regular, unprotected sex due to my work with the organization. I don't have a girlfriend, and so I am not really the type to date anyway. Before I started with the organization, I had sort of a friend with benefits but she ended up getting into another relationship after I stopped sleeping with her. She was cool, never made me wear condoms, and only slept with me. But many women want to use condoms or will get pregnant and expect child support (unlike my work with the organization)

Do you have any advice on the way to relieve the sexual urges that I have become accustomed to having relieved through natural insemination work?

Hi again,

Masturabation is an option if partner is not available. Moreover, focus on other things like exercise, hobbies, work etc can also help in diverting thoughts.
