I Am A 31 Year Old Male That Has Been

Question: I am a 31 year old male that has been experiencing bilateral leg pain for almost 10 months. Pain is a weird soreness/sometime burning feeling mainly in thighs and calves. No weakness really, and no numbness. Some spasms... Usually okay if not walking or standing for an extended period of time, but will start to ache when doing so. Hot baths seem to help best. Have felt the soreness in my arms as well but not as frequent. This is a leg issue. Legs sometimes feel heavier than normal too when walking, but mostly it is a sore feeling as if I did a leg work out the day before.
Pain initially started the same day that I had a stomach bug. Not sure if it is a coincidence. I didn't really have a fever and the bug only lasted a day.
The only connection I have found was experiencing some mild rhabdomyolysis a year and half ago after a very vigorous exercise session. I peed brown and went to the doctor. Took Advil and Tylenol. Pain was experienced in same parts of legs (thighs, calves) and I could hardly walk for a week. After that, I appeared to be fine (up until this initially started).
Got EMG and long list of blood tests. have seen 2 specialists... All results were normal. Should I get a biopsy? Second opinion?

Brief Answer:
Yes, biopsy and a second opinion, are necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

I think that in your case, it is actually a muscle biopsy since there is a history of rhabdomyolysis.

Besides this, another condition to consider, since the symptoms coincided with a viral infection, is transverse myelitis.

An MRI of your spinal cord is necessary for this purpose.

A second opinion by a Neurologist also may help you to understand the situation better.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
