Since I have a job, 1 - 2 hours a day seems a bit excessive for working out. Can you recommend some workouts for a heavier person like me to begin making a little progress?

Brief Answer:
Do at least 20-30 minutes of exercising.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.

You should do at least 20-30 minutes of exercising. Walking or running in fresh air is recommended.
Having 1-2 hours is ideal but if not possible do at least 20-30 minutes every day.

Also, you can do physical exercises for legs and abdomen increasing their intensity progressively. Pilate exercises are easy to be done and suitable for you.
You can find those exercise tutorial videos online.

When you say "20 - 30 minutes of exercise", does that mean 20 to 30 minutes of exercise OR 20 to 30 minutes of exercise with a sustained rapid heart rate?

Brief Answer:
Alternate increased heart rate with a low heart rate.

Detailed Answer:
It is good that you do intense exercising with an increased heart rate. If you can't stay all 20-30 minutes with an elevated heart rate you can slow down and then start again.

Sustained rapid heart rate may be difficult to have since the start of the exercising but you can increase the time of rapid heartbeat.

I live in the southern United States, where it is hot and humid this time of year. I would prefer to initially start losing weight through diet. The weather here is more conducive to outdoor exercise in the fall, and I won't be going to a gym due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Based upon my situation, can you provide me with a total calorie amount that I should be consuming per day that will allow me to lose a few pounds of fat a week?

Pilates sounds great, but my issue is that workouts like pilates, yoga, etc. can cause a lot of soreness. I don't necessarily want to stretch or build muscle. Rather, I want to do something that will cause my body to dissolve some of this fat, so I can wear smaller clothing, sit in smaller chairs, etc.

Do you have any "light" cardio workout recommendations that will accomplish this?

Also, I am willing to only eat 2 meals a day if necessary. Do you recommend skipping the third meal?
