hello Mr XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing to us.

While you are smoking there will be damage to your face skin due to oxidation stress in body.To prevent this damage you should take antioxidant natural substances in form of fruits. vitamin C and Vitamin E are antioxidants. They found in citrous fruits. Include all seasonal fruits in your diet.

You should also include more amount of vegetables in your diet.

Avoid junk food like pitza, pasta as far as possible.

You can also take supplement vitamin medicines containing vitamin E ,c and anti oxidant omega fatty acids by consulting your family doctor.

Enough natural sleep for 6-8 hours daily is must.

Regular exercises also help.Even walking 4-5 km/ day will help and improve your respiration and exhale some dangerous particles from lung.

Washing face regularly 3-4 times a day with water also helps.Use suitable face wash and sunscreen regualry.

If your face skin is already damaged and looking older, botox treatment will help certainly. This is done by dermatologist.

But it is not guaranteed that any of above measures will work completely if you continue chain smoking for long period. Better to stop smoking. It will not only imprve your face and keep you young but will prevent you from dangerous health hazards like lung cancer.

If you want to quit smoking but finding difficulties, I may help you. Revert back to me with detail of duration, frequency and quantity of smoking and problems you facing on stopping/ reducing smoking.

Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.

Dr.Chintan Solanki.
