How To Know If There Was Any Nerve Damage During Colorectal Surgery?

default
Posted on Thu, 9 Oct 2014
Question: One area of concern - the wall separating the vaginal side and the colon on the other. The vaginal wall was repaired prior to a rear-ending then, a disastrous colorectal surgery with mesh. What is the best method to check to see if "the wall" is causing problems whether it be mesh, nerve damage or invasion when the colorectal doctor was operating.

Brief Answer:
pregbalin and gabapentin with methylcobalamin will help

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
Any defect in the vaginal wall can be detected by MRI scan, a direct examination of the area, a nerve conduction study to assess any nerve damage, etc.
A barium follow through X-rays or colonoscopy can also help to detect any defect in the wall of large gut.
You need to consult a colorectal surgeon for a detailed examination and choose the investigations best for you. In most of the cases it is a nerve related problem and medicines like pregbalin and gabapentin with methylcobalamin supplements can provide a symptomatic relief.

I don't think you understand that I trust no one since I have been through a surgery I didn't need; left in fecal matter; discharged with wet bandages. This seems like a third world country. Now, I'll close discussion so I can rate you, expecting I can pick your brain again as you are most knowledgeable.
Thanks so much.
