Brief Answer: High calorie and protein diet with exercises Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX Thank you for using Healthcaremagic. When it comes to gaining weight,it's true that a high a calorie and high protein diet is recommended.But I would advise you to be careful with what you eat, a weight gain diet has to be balanced and healthy. Consuming calories alone would increase the fat mass; which may lead to health problems later. Therefore, it’s advisable to consume more proteins and do regular exercises for building the muscle mass. Include milk and its products, soy and its products, mushroom, mature legumes and pulses and dry fruits and nuts in your daily diet. If you are a non – vegetarian, consider egg (white only) and white meats in non-fried form for good quality protein. Taking small and frequent meals would be helpful, and do not eat or drink around the main meal timings to save the appetite for the meals. You may include potato, yam, rice and breads in the diet for required calories. Fruits and vegetable are also important as they provide means for better digestion and assimilation of the food consumed. Always keep the handy snacks with you, for e.g. peanut Chikki, roasted nuts, dry fruits, sprouts and roasted channa, and take plenty of water and other hydrating liquids. Avoid bakery and commercially prepared foods as they contain additives and preservatives. Weight gain is a slow process, follow your set diet and eating routine and timings, never skip meals and also avoid eating more than the intended quantities. Be persistent and focused. The regular food that we eat combined with simple skin care tips would help you get a healthier skin. To start, the first and the most important thing to do is to keep your body sufficiently hydrated. Include plenty of water, fresh fruit juices, green tea, soups,green smoothies etc. in the daily diet. You are also required to include a number of nutrients like Vit A, Vit. K, Vit A, antioxidants and some minerals, that are good for skin health. Green leafy vegetable are storehouse of Zinc, Vit A and Iron. Fruits like guava, watermelon, berries, prunes, broccoli, XXXXXXX red grapes etc. provides antioxidants and nourishment that repair the damage caused to the skin. other foods like dark chocolates and green tea are also recommended. As mentioned in the previous reply, protein rich foods also are very important, along with certain life style modifications. Maintain a sleep pattern and take at least 7 hours of sound sleep. Smoking and pollution are not good, also it is better to avoid any fried or too spicy food. Choose the skin care products wisely and according to your skin type.
