How To Check For Epileptic Seizures?

default
Posted on Mon, 28 Apr 2014
Question: I have a 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. We thought she was having absent seizures but seizures were ruled out. I had her this past weekend for 4 days and noticed strange movements, twice while sitting on the couch cross legged her legs started moving sort of like crossing and uncrossing. At the same time she started pushing the front of her hair back with her left hand several times . I tried to get her attention but got no response, This lasted about 10 seconds the first time but only a couple of seconds the second time. Also while riding in the car on numerous occasions, she sounds like she is taking deep breaths to calm herself and usually falls asleep shortly after, But this past weekend I looked bach=k and it looked like she was arching her back, holding her breath but responded when talked to. Could she have some sort of involuntary movement disorder or am I an over protective grand ma?
